Benvenuti! Welcome to the Italian café!

In our Italian cafe we offer two courses: Italian from scratch, or, Per cominciare! and Italian on the way, or, Andiamo avanti! When the courses are over, you will either reach A1 or A2 level, according to the Common European Framework of Reference.

Per cominciare! (A1)

During this first level you’ll be introduced to the Italian language, its fonetics and its beautiful musical sounds. The course will proceed with the basic of the language: introducing yourself and others, greetings, talk about yourself and your friends and family, but also how to go out for dinner, order some food and wine,

Andiamo avanti! (A2)

During this course we will go deeper with the topics done along the first course but we will also have an introduction to the past tense and a couple of more topics such as professional life and personal interests and hobbies.

The courses start in February after Carnaval. Each language course consists of 12 lessons of 2 hours each. We pay a lot of attention to speaking, but you are also expected to do some self-study at home.
